This is the basic level of number identification. Students learn to identify numbers, match numbers, and then sort.

How to play: The birds can be interchangeable with the "Hippo" game.
Level 1: Number Match the blue birds at the end of the game to their correct birdcage.
Level 2: Match the birds of different colors to their correct birdcage.

HOW TO PLAY: Make several copies of each set of cats.
LEVEL 1: Match the cat with number to the cat with same number. Do the same with the other cats holding signs.
LEVEL 2: Match the cat with the number sign to the cat with the dots on the sign. Match the cat with the dots on the sign to the cat with the number sign
LEVEL 3: Match the cat with the number sign to the cat with the number word sign. Match the cat with written word sign to the cat with the number sign.
Match the cat with the dots on the sign to the cat with the number word sign.
Match cat with the number word sign to the cat with the sign with the dots.
Match all three cats together.
Extra Activity: Leave one space or several spaces open for number placement.

Level 3a. Place the correct number of birds to the hippo with the number.
Level 3b. Place the correct number of birds with the hippo with the written number.
Matching and counting cards are included for extra activity at the end of the game.

LEVEL 1: Place a jar in the bear's lap. Have the student place the correct lid on each jar. (Make sure to move the jars around to different bears).
An extra jar and bugs are included at the end of the game. Change the bugs and their numbers as needed to ensure learning.

HOW TO PLAY: Place a number or number word on the front of the scale. Make two copies of the numbers, and number words.
LEVEL 1: Place the same objects on the scale...(ie.all 1s,or one's; or apple(s)
LEVEL 2: Place the numbers on both sides of the scale...(ie..1,1:1, one, or one,one).
LEVEL 3: Place the correct number of apples on one side of the scale and the number or number word on the other.
Extra Activity: Apples in the baskets. Place the baskets on the scales.

HOW TO PLAY:
LEVEL 1: Match number to number. Work on number recognition and counting the numbers.
LEVEL 2: Place the correct number of fish on the card with numbers 1-5. *
LEVEL 3: Place the correct number of fish on each number block with numbers 6-10*
* Count out the fish with the student before and while using individually.
** When the student is proficient in counting, use the other colored fish
to create more interest.
One on One or Group Activity:
Give each student a card. Have each student place the correct number of fish on each card, counting out the fish as they do so.

LEVEL 1: Place the frogs on the log with the correct numbers on them.
LEVEL 2: Place the correct number of frogs on the log without the numbers on them.
LEVEL 3: Place the frogs in sequential order on each log by placing one or several frogs with the numbers on them and leaving one of more spaces to fill in.

LEVEL 1: Match mouse to mouse for number recognition. Match cheese to cheese for counting.
LEVEL 2: Match small cheese to mouse Match small mouse to big cheese.
LEVEL 3: Cut the game cards in half to play a memory matching game

LEVEL 1: Sort the numbers.
LEVEL 2: Sort the pictures with the number of items into their correct baskets.
Use the numbers from the "Number Basics" game and take 1 items from various counting games to sort into their prospec- tive baskets.

LEVEL 1: Print out two copies of cat cards with numbers. Match cat to cat.
LEVEL 2: Match number card to cat number card and visa versa.
LEVEL 3: Using a select group of cat number cards, give cards to student and instruct them to "Put in order".
For example, choose cat number cards 1 - 5. Also, lay out number
cards with one or a few cards missing for the student to "fill in" the missing numbers as a sequencing activity.
